Hello, writers and readers!
We’re sailing right into year 4 of Lamprophonic’s existence and with it comes many exciting updates and adventures.
Case in point: I’m happy to introduce our new Poetry Curator, the lovely and talented SARAH SALA!
Sarah first read for Lampro’s Emerging Writers Series in July ‘14 and has been an active member of the community ever since, spreading the word and returning to our events to support her fellow writers. Her poetry is delicious and incisive, sometimes dark and usually tender. Recently, her poem “Hydrogen” was featured in the “Elements” episode of NPR’s Radiolab. She’s super cool and you can read more about her talents and accolades here.
Sarah is a talented writer, thoughtful reader, and dedicated promoter and supporter of her creative peers. She’s an awesome addition to the team, and I’m so pleased to collaborate with her in producing a whole new set of amazing Emerging Writers Series events!
Please join me in welcoming her!
P.S. Other exciting Lampro adventures include:
- Literary Lounge w/ Eileen Myles on September 21st
- The return of the Emerging Writers Series on October 16th. If you’re interested in reading, submit by October 6th!
