Lamprophonic’s flagship program is a reading series for emerging writers.

Every month (-ish), we prepare a diverse reading that demonstrates the quality and variety of New York's literary community. In a typical night, we hear poetry, fiction, and nonfiction, and we are open to anything that thoughtfully engages listeners.

The next Emerging Writers Series will be at 8 pm on Saturday, April 1st.

If you would like to read at this or  another one of our events, please submit a brief bio and no more than 6 pages of your own work. You must submit by 9 pm on Wednesday, March 15th, to be considered to read at our April 1st event.

Prose submissions must be double-spaced, and all submissions must be twelve-point font. Submissions should be no more than six pages in length. We ask that writers only submit one entry per reading period. Chosen readers each have eight(ish) minutes to present their work.

Readings are held at Bar Thalia at 2537 Broadway (Entrance on 95th Street).
